The family of this young mom, found hacked to bits, are preparing to face her alleged killers in court.

Sinodia Schutt, 32, was found with her jaw smashed off, her breasts slashed to shreds and her back full of stab wounds.

Her hands and forearms were practically shredded as she tried to ward off the panga blows inflicted by her killers.

Sinodia is the latest victim in a string of sick murders that have left the Cape reeling at the brutality of the attacks.

* The vicious war on women exploded into the headlines with the murder of Charmaine Mare.

The 16-year-old’s burnt, dismembered torso was found in a Kraaifontein field on January 14.

Mechanic Johannes De Jager now stands accused of her murder after he pointed out to cops where he hid the girl’s severed legs and arms.

* On February 2, the murder of Anene Booysen sent shockwaves around the world.

The 17-year-old was raped and slashed open, leaving her intestines hanging out.

Johannes Kana, 21, and Johnathan Davids, 23, have appeared in the Bredasdrop Magistrates’ Court for her murder.

* Jo-anne Van Schalkwyk’s killer bashed her head in with a rock on February 12 in Atlantis.

He left her for dead with the bloodied chunk of concrete next to her body where it was later found by residents.

Eon Adams, 33 is accused of ending the young drug-addicted sex worker’s life.

On Thursday Sharief Padayachee, Marlon “Morsag” van Wyk, Jerome Januarie and Ricardo Williams are due in the Vredenburg Magistrates’ Court for the February 27 murder of Sinodia in Diasville, Saldanha.

The slain mom-of-two was looking after a house when she was attacked and killed.

She had been in the process of trying to evict people from her own home at the time of her death.

Her heartbroken mom says Sinodia sent her a chilling message just hours before she was found dead.

And she believes it could have been a sombre premonition of her own death.

Christie Schutt, 53, says she received a text from Sinodia saying: “Marlon [Morsag] from Eerste Hopland is on his way to me, so if anything happens just know he was here. Don’t phone now, I will phone you mom. Love you!”

Christie says that was the last she heard from her daughter.

The next time she saw Sinodia left her shocked.

“Her jaw was off, her back was stabbed full of holes,” says Christie.

“The killers even tried to cut off her breasts.

“Her hands were raw from the panga, which makes us believe she tried to block the attack.”

Resident Janine Kys says she has been left with nightmares after being called to the bloody murder scene by a neighbour.

“She was lying on her back and her neck and left cheek was full of blood,” says Janine.

Janine phoned police, but says they could not come because they did not have a van available.

The cops only arrived after the ambulance which had to be called from Vredenburg.

“After what I saw in there I cannot sleep, it wasn’t a pretty sight,” Janine says.

Janine says Sinodia took her kids to stay with her mother the day before she was killed.

“What would have happened if the children were with her?” she says.

Christie says she cannot understand why her daughter was killed, but believes she may have been threatened days before her murder.

“For weeks our whole family was targeted – at one stage people threw rocks though my windows,” Christie says.

“I gave the attackers’ names to the police, but they never questioned anybody.”

Sitting holding Sinodia’s three-year-old daughter and son, 10, Christie struggles to hold back the tears.

“I left my job to be at home, I was worried about the children’s safety,” she tells the Daily Voice.

John Cloete of Saldanhabaai Community Policing Forum says residents are planning a march to court on Thursday.

“Residents of all towns on the West Coast are asked to join. The crimes against women and children cannot continue,” says Cloete.

Sinodia was laid to rest last weekend.
